Piano Lessons for Adults

piano lessons downtowon toronto, toronto piano lessons, piano class

Are you an adult student that tried to teach yourself  piano?

Simply Piano, Flowkey, countless hours on Youtube replaying the same video for hours on end without much success?  Sounds familiar?

You are not alone.

During the pandemic there was an explosion of  online piano courses and apps that promised that you will be some amazing piano player after buying into their subscription.

In reality, what happens is that you can barely read music, your rhythms are totally off and you have no idea what you are doing with technique. There's no feedback mechanism so you have no idea if you are

improving or developing bad habits and dependency on using the app.

Most apps only focus on teaching students to play the same simple song and skip all the foundation.  There are tons of gaps which make it harder for you to play the music that you want to learn.

Without learning proper technique, knowing how to break things down and having a solid foundation, it makes playing challenging and non-musical.

Over the years, I have taught many adult students and have designed a 10 week in-person  course  that will tackle the foundation of piano playing. Before we get into any songs, we spend the first month working on the technique, patterns, coordination skills, movements, rhythm and fluency in music reading. I want to make sure students develop a solid foundation of these skills as they are the “pillars” of any music style they wish to learn. For those adults with some piano background,  I offer different level classes ranging from beginners to advance (Grade 9 RCM piano).

Stop wasting your time with apps and developing poor habits, book a trial today to take your piano playing to the next level.
